The Tulsa Undergraduate Research Challenge (TURC) is an innovative program that enables undergraduates to take challenging courses and conduct advanced research with the guidance of top TU professors. Students are able to participate in this program the summer BEFORE their freshman year at TU.

Its aim is to create leaders in scholarship, research and public life. Specifically, the program emphasizes undergraduate research and community involvement.

Sutton Award for excellence in communicating current conservation issues.  This award was established in 2003.  It recognizes HS students who demonstrate the ability to communicate current conservation topics in compelling ways.  The Sutton Award is comprised of up to $20,000 in cash which will be distributed to winning submissions and their instructors as determined by the selection committee.  For more information and to print off the paperwork visit:  Submission will take place between December 1, 2018 - January 10, 2019.  NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.


Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation is offering a full-ride scholarship that covers a student's tuition, room, board and expenses for four years of undergraduate study.  More information about this scholarship is available at  Any high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2020 and is an American Citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply.  All applications must be completed online and submitted by 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, Wednesday, January 23, 2019.
