Academic Bowl

About Us

The Academic Bowl practices Mondays and Thursdays and competes Monday evenings against other area schools in a “Jeopardy” type of game. Questions range from math, science, history, literature, grammar, and current events to sports, movies, and TV.

Mock Trial

About Us
Owasso Mock Trial is a competitive team of students interested in the law and improving public speaking skills. The statewide program is sponsored by the Oklahoma Bar Association Foundation to promote leadership and citizenship skills, in addition to critical thinking. Teams compete in actual courtrooms judged by real attorneys and judges around the State. The Owasso team has been invited to compete at the Oklahoma Supreme Court each year in January, in addition to the OBA competition.

Odyssey of the Mind

About Us

Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretations of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state, and world levels. Thousands of teams from throughout the U.S. and from about 25 other countries participate in the program.

Speech & Debate

About Us

Do you like arguing, researching, writing, or acting? If any of those things should join the Speech and Debate Club. We attend competitions around the state and compete in a variety of speaking-based events, anyone is welcome to join whether you are a part of the class or not! 

Details

  • Open to all students. Students may opt to take the class for credit.

  • Meets as needed. We don’t have set practices, rather the majority of work is done in the classes or in independent time. Our tournaments are some Fridays and Saturdays between October to April.

Art Club

About Us

The Art Club meets once a month for open studio time. Students will have use of the art room to work on current artwork, practice new skills, or even just craft. Students will be informed about job opportunities in visual arts as well as current art shows, local competitions, upcoming events, and field trips. There is a $5 annual membership fee. Office positions are available.

International Thespian Society Troupe #4722

About Us
Our club is an internationally recognized institution that has been an honor society for over 93 years. Our mission is to provide a community of students that are enthusiastic about all things “theatre”. The Oklahoma and International chapters provide education, workshops, competition, scholarships, and a very friendly community for our students. ITS is also an honor society that looks great on any college resume. We have many community outreach programs that are inspired by and instructed by our International office.

  • Bring a headshot and a resume OR just bring yourself to the theatre room 126, after school on Wednesdays! If you’ve never been in a show, no worries, we can put you on a path to be qualified with our organization by the end of the year! We will attend The Oklahoma Thespian Festival on January 13th and 14th, as well as the International Thespian Festival in Mid June. (not all members attend, or are required to attend).

Hidden Figures Book Club

About Us
Our Hidden Figures Book Club is for girls interested in STEM careers. We read books on famous scientists and mathematicians, concentrating on women who have succeeded in breaking barriers to women in male-dominated fields. We discuss different fields of study and hopes and concerns for the future. We have watched movies that go along with the books as well as had guest speakers.

Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)

FCCLA meets twice a month during both lunches. We volunteer and sponsor the Blood Drive along with volunteering at the Northeast Oklahoma Food Bank. We compete in STAR events, have parties, and attend the State Convention in Oklahoma City.

Owasso Rampage Newspaper

About Us
This club is for students interested in writing. Students will be exposed to all aspects of writing while being challenged to exercise their creativity through character development, research, and fact-checking. Students will also contribute to the production of the school newspaper, The Rampage, and learn about the various facets of journalism. Using technology, students will also learn techniques and strategies geared toward layout and design.

Teacher Career Exploration (TCE)

Students interested in a career in education would be involved in learning about preparation for such a career, as well as teaching (elementary and/or secondary). Additionally, there would be opportunities to visit teachers in the classroom to learn about lesson plans and preparation, classroom management, and education, in general.

We support our Native Ram students and our Ram community. We do many activities to help support our Native Rams and community. We will hold meetings as needed for our major community projects. Grades are critical, and students need to maintain a passing grade to attend out-of-school events.

We participate in many local cultural activities and celebrations hosted by the Tulsa Arts Council. We learn to cook traditional foods from different countries. We enhance the use of the Spanish being studied outside of the classroom by visiting local markets and restaurants. We learn to create arts and crafts from many different countries. You do not have to be enrolled in a Spanish class to participate. All students are welcome.

The D&D Club is a group where we bring together diverse players to create and to adventure in a world formulated by the Dungeon Master. About Us

The LARP (Life Action Role Playing) Club is a positive outlet that includes physical exercise, creativity, and sportsmanship for a diverse group of individuals by recreating fantasy medieval combat in a safe yet competitive manner. We will have a wide range of events from teaching how to make chainmail armor, to making cosplay-style outfits, to proper fighting stances and techniques, all in an inclusive atmosphere.

A club encouraging any and all students to come together to enjoy the chance to spend time with young Christian students. This group meets during lunch every other Tuesday and every other Thursday night 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Tuesday lunch meetings are for brief devotionals. Thursday evenings are when students will be playing different types of games, hanging out in small groups, and doing other fun activities. Thursday evening offers an opportunity to hear from guest speakers.

National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society

About Us
National Junior Honor Society (9) - NJHS and National Honor Society (10-12) – NHS is an organization dedicated to serving the school and community. Membership is based on scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Students who have maintained a 3.5 or greater GPA since the ninth grade will receive applications to apply for membership. Not everyone who applies is accepted. Once inducted, a member pays $10.00 in annual dues and must do 10 hours of service per semester. Meetings are on the first Thursday of every month. Members must attend meetings or they are required to do three hours of additional school service for every meeting missed.

About Us
This club is for everyone who believes in inclusion. That together, side by side, students with and without disabilities can change the world by bringing more understanding of people with disabilities and their importance, therefore, spreading kindness. We participate in Special Olympics Unified Sports- bowling, cornhole, volleyball, basketball, bocce, flag football, and soccer. We also host parties for all the holidays.
