About the Teacher
My name is Lisa McBride and I teach Social Studies at Owasso High School (East campus).
I have been teaching for 21 years at Owasso Public Schools (10 at the West Campus, formerly Owasso Mid High & 11 at OHS East campus).
I have been blessed with a wonderful family!
I have been married for 26 years to Kevin. We have three boys: Adam, Jett, and Jacob. We have also recently been blessed with a daughter-in-law, Makenzie.
WE LOVE TO TRAVEL! Disney & Universal are repeat family favorites, but the ultimate favorites have been getting to spend Christmas Day at Disneyland Paris in 2017 and St. Paul's Cathedral (London) in 2019. This past summer we traveled to Florence, Pisa, and Rome.
I started my education at the University of Arkansas...several changes in majors and getting married later...I finished my degree in Secondary Education, Social Studies at Oklahoma State University. We are an OSU Cowboy family. I completed National Board Certification in Social Studies in 2007 and re-certified in 2017.
My goal each year is to challenge myself and my students to learn something new! Please know that I am invested in your student and I truly love my job. We are in this "education thing" together and I am happy to help as much as possible!
